How's It Fishing - The Coarse Fishing Lake

Really good bags of Bream and Roach are being caught using Red Maggot and Chopped worm. Float fishing tatics are best either on Waggler or on a pole, fishing at a range of about 10 metres.

Best areas are peg 9 right round to 26.

Carp fishing on the coarse lake is  improving with the onset of warmer weather. Daniel Ramsdale from Chesterfield had a mirror and a common,17 and 13 pound respectively on Krill flavoured Boilies.

Note :Night sessions must be booked in advance by phoning me.

Weekly Report 14/3/16:

Fishing has been challanging due to the rain and cold weather.

One good Carp bag was had in the week, and a silver fishing has been satisfactory without setting the world alight!

Bring on the warmer weather.

We are on Summer Opening Times now 6am until Dusk, and Night tickets available by phoning to book on.

Fishing Report 17th August 2017

A really great day on our 'Open day' at Press with a big thank you to all our coaches and exhibitors.

We estimate that 170 kids/young adults had a go on the Coarse lake many taking fishing whips away, and a taste of somthing different from twitter/ Instagram.

Lake fishing really well with Bream, Roach and smaller Carp coming to Maggot, Pellet and Sweetcorn.

both feeder and float methods are working well, with catches all over the lake.

Dave Shipley found the species at two levels, small carp hard on the bottom and Bream and Roach at about 4 feet, using pellet to get a really good bag of fish

Nets will be allowed from 1st September no carp in nets please.
