How's It Fishing - The Coarse Fishing Lake

Really good bags of Bream and Roach are being caught using Red Maggot and Chopped worm. Float fishing tatics are best either on Waggler or on a pole, fishing at a range of about 10 metres.

Best areas are peg 9 right round to 26.

Carp fishing on the coarse lake is  improving with the onset of warmer weather. Daniel Ramsdale from Chesterfield had a mirror and a common,17 and 13 pound respectively on Krill flavoured Boilies.

Note :Night sessions must be booked in advance by phoning me.

Fishing Report Saturday 19th May 2018

Lake fishing well for Bream and Roach, Crucian and small Common Carp coming out.

I watched an angler fishing on Thursday who was using a hair rigged worm and sweetcorn cocktail. What was interesting that when the swwetcorn was gone off his rig, he didnt get a bite, as soon as the sweetcorn was replaced as he re-rigged. The rod tip went around as the rig hit the water, producing another small Common or Crucian Carp.

Lots of anglers fishing too big a hook, so be sure to match your hook size your line. Size 18 is fine for general fishing.

Night Fishing allowed by phoning to book on, and texting details afterwards to Bernie on 07976 306073.

Please note 'No Barbs' on hooks please.
