Carp Fishing Rules

  • Persons accessing Press Manor Fishing Lakes do so at their own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any accident and/or injury to person’s vehicles or possessions, whilst on the premises. It is the person’s responsibility to ensure they are protected and are aware of the dangers of fishing before entering the site.

  • If you want to view the Carp Lake you phone or e-mail me to arrange a suitable time. Do not access fishery to see a friend angling.

  • For Bio Security -All Landing Nets and Un-hooking mats must be bone dry before fishing.

  • All litter to be taken home- Let us know if you pitch is NOT clear of litter on arrival.

  • 2 rods maximum.

  • For security reasons night fisherman’s vehicles are will be locked in, until opening time in the morning which is 8.30 am.

  • All fished to be carefully returned. No Keep Nets sacks to be used at any time.

  • Carp are not to be lifted above knee height at any time.

  • Bait Bans: no Nuts, Beans of any kind.

  • Barbless hooks only.

  • No lead core ,fixed leads, or snag leaders.

  • Coated Braid Hook Lengths.

  • Use large thick un-hooking mats, and 36inch Landing Nets.

  • Courtesy to all other anglers, No loud radios, open fires, disposable bar-b-ques, swimming, or heavy drinking. The highest standard of behaviour is expected from all.

  • Bait Boats- Contact owner before you visit.

  • If you are opposite an angler, you must cast no further than half way across the lake.

  • No Guests (except Wives and Girlfriends £5.00 fee) and no vehicles are to be driven at night.

Remember these rules only exist to ensure the welfare of the Carp, and the consistency of your sport.
